Proposal Submission

The Network for Public Health Law is inviting proposals for panels or individual presentations for the Network’s Climate Change, Health Equity, and Public Health Law Summit taking place in Minneapolis, MN from October 12-14, 2022. Should conditions due to COVID-19 preclude an in-person meeting, we will transition to a virtual event. We encourage anyone working at the intersection of climate change, public health, health equity, and law and policy to apply. We are interested in presentations from a wide variety of perspectives, including public health practitioners, community-based organizations, environmental organizations, attorneys, researchers, community members, and others.

The Network encourages submission of proposals related to this year’s Summit theme, Building Health Equity from the Community Up, and we are especially interested in proposals that prioritize health equity and community perspectives. We are seeking workshops and presentations that will help participants put the knowledge they gain into action for systems change. We are seeking proposals that address the intersection of climate change, health equity, and public health law, but individual sessions may address one aspect in greater depth. This year’s summit will feature speakers accepted through this request for proposals and invited speakers. Potential topics include:

  • Mitigating Climate Change and Adapting to Its Impacts
  • Creating Racial Health Equity and Addressing Community Priorities
  • Legal and Policy Strategies to Promote Public Health in the Face of Climate Change

The DEADLINE for submissions is April 8, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
